Keeping up the work!

This week I did pretty good on my workouts, I ran 3 times this week with my 5K workout.  Each time it is a little longer and I run a little faster and it kills me a little more.  However, I really like it!  It was a busy week so sadly, I only worked out those three times...  I have a lot of pictures I want to share really fast to catch up on some fun summer happenings!
Lake in Waterton, I can't remember the name

It was cold that day and Crystal was at a temple sealing so it was the kids and me!  Well, Mal was with us which was great!  Love that girl, she is so much help and so fun. It was my birthday and this is what I wanted to do.

Mal and I, my favorite little cousin!  She's so fun and we have a blast even though she is  seven years younger than me.

Crystal and I cleaning up after Roo's (Miranda) wedding.  These were tied around the chairs.

ALBERTA!!!  Land of my birth!  Waiting at the border to get back into the states, can you see the long line of cars behind me?  I think the line was at least a mile long in stopped traffic.... boo!

In all seriousness, Jordan is my favorite cousin and I love love love his wife Chantelle.  I have a blast with these two.  LOVE THEM!

Back to the Grindstone

Jeff Galloway iPhone app! LOVE IT!
The past three months of my life have been consumed with volleyball.  All volleyball and school and for two... almost three weeks, I was also driving spud truck!  I loved coaching volleyball and my team was a blast to be with.  However, with loosing all of my time to work, I stopped working out.  It was dreadfully sad... I am determined to get back on the fitness bandwagon.  I am going to call this my fitness tiers section and for a month I'm going to report on what I did how how well I did on my new routine.  This way I have people I'm reporting to and I feel responsible!
Monday - Zumba fitness class
Tuesday - Jeff Galloway 5k train
Wednesday - Yoga class
Thursday - Galloway 5k train, kickboxing class
Tomorrow, when I get to Utah, I am bound and determined to do another 5k train on my mom's treadmill.  Someone has to use it so I might as well!!  I'm going down tomorrow because we are celebrating Thanksgiving early as my grandparents are leaving for AZ Saturday... boo because I will miss them all winter long!!
I made my own Halloween costume this year - I will post pictures later because I did take some! :)

A picture tells a thousand words....

I decided to catch everyone up based on pictures I have.  Therefore, I'm not going to tell much of the story but let the pictures tell the stories.  I hope it explains everything and you enjoy it!  Life has been crazy hectic lately and I am trying to stay up to date but it's not working!
Brent Knowles, Megan, Emily Heugly, and Kristin Carter at Emy's wedding!

Kenny Chesney Concert

Day 27 - A picture of yourself and a family member.

For my birthday and for my little sister's birthday (Teralee), my mom bought us all Kenny Chesney tickets!  It was the third time Teralee and I have seen him in SLC (July 9th).  The second time we saw him together and also the second time we saw him in the outdoor amphitheater.  We had a blast just hanging out together and chatting ad loving life.  My mom and her husband Kelly also came with us.  We sat on blankets and ate pizza and drank Dr. Pepper.  Loved the concert and LOVE Kenny.

Education

Day 26 - A picture of something that means a lot to you.

My education means a lot to me.  So that about sums it up!!  Education helps you get far in life and helps you to become a more rounded and well versed person. You become intelligent through education.  Education unlocks doors for possibilities and helps you be a better person.  My thoughts on why I value my education.

I start volleyball this Friday and then I start school again August 29th and the students come Sept. 6.  I hope I'm really excited to start come then!!

Volleyball - a way of life

Day 25 - A picture of my day.

Today, just like yesterday, I played with Shelly (my best friend since I moved to the states, we are still besties and I love her family dearly!) and went to volleyball camp.

Adam and Shelly with kids

I love this camp and I'd highly recommend it to anyone who likes to play volleyball or wants to like to play volleyball. We have adults on every skill level and it is a blast and a workout!

These were my coaches!

The icing on the cake was that I got to see my favorite Boise girls (kind of Boise anyway!) Kayla and Jesika! I love these girls and they enrich my life more than they know.
Kayla is in brown, and Jesika is in light blue right behind me with short hair! Love these ladies!

The past...

Day 24 - A picture of something you wish you could change.

I wish I could change the past.  I know that's broad, but I wish I was smarter and I could make things go 'the right way'.  Might not be possible but I wish I could.

I also wish I could change how the government runs, it is too corrupt for the great nation we are supposed to be!

I also wish I could change the pay of teachers.  They work too hard and are shaping the minds of tomorrows leaders and get very little pay.  Would you like your leaders to be educated from the worst teachers or the best? Because at this rate, all of the best teachers are changing professions to actually get paid for all of the hours of work they do. I wish I could change that!!

I'm horrible at answering the phone!  I wish I was better at it, I just don't know what to do to change my phone ways!!

I want to be better at all sports, I love to play and I do often but I wish I was better.

Yeah, I'm not even going to caption this one....  I'll let you decide!

Back with 17!

Day 17 - A picture of something that has made a huge impact on your life recently.

I'm back!!  I know I say this a lot so I just shouldn't say it, but I will anyway!  This one is really hard for me to answer.  Thankfully it didn't say someone!  Just something.  I would have to say that my student inspire me constantly, to overcome and be better.  They don't mean to and somedays I don't feel it, but overall, I am constantly amazed at how good they are and how many trials they have to face, they make a great big impact on my life.  Something that has made the biggest impact on my life recently is going to the temple.  I love being able to go to the temple and enjoy my time away from the world and learning all I can while I am there.  I love the peacefulness and great feeling that I have there.  I am going to the Bountiful Temple on Saturday to attend my mom's sealing.  I am so excited for this opportunity to go.  It will be fabulous!!  I owe this to a lot of things and people, but someone that always stands out to me, encouraged me to go to the temple.  Having them encourage me to go through, gave me the strength and confidence to do it.  Without this person, I don't know when I would have made the choice to go through!  I am so grateful for them and their help in my life.  Sad to say I haven't been able to talk to them for a while, but I wish them the best because I am in debt to them.  Going to the temple has helped me a great deal with trials and challenges I have been facing and just to feel like I am progressing in life.  It has made such a large impact on my life and I am eternally grateful that I have been able to go to the temple and that I am blessed to have one just up the hill from my house. :)

Bountiful temple, the one I went through first and where my mom (and her husband) is getting sealed!!

Day 10!

A picture of the person you do the most screwed up things with.

I've been begging this person for over a week now to get me the picture that TELLS the story, and they haven't yet.... so picture to come and I'll fix this post!

I finally have the pictures!!  This is Suzi and I.  Yes, we do the most messed up things together!  This past Christmas and Valentine's we dressed up as ninja's.  I will NOT reveal why, but it was a ton of fun and we snuck around for a good while!  haha!  We enjoy doing things like this a LOT!
