Jamba la Mamba!

I was in class yesterday and my secretary walked in with a Jamba Juice and a card!  I looked at her and said, is that what I think it is?  She smiles big and says yes it is!  I was like, oh so I will come and visit you at lunch!  I knew then exactly what happened!  See, the night before Jake and I stayed up talking until about 2am.  I thought I wouldn't have school bc there was a blizzard in Ashton and some road was closed. So we chatted and I was dead tired the next day.  He said he would make it up to me, so I figured he would do something different than a Jamba!  But not to be under estimated, he got me a Jamba, drove up to Ashton and dropped it off at the school for me!  It was a pleasant surprise and it then became my lunch!  My secretary, Eileen, said she highly approves and thinks that he is so nice.  Awww, I do too!  I went to a ballgame with him the other night and met his whole family.  His aunt thought I was his sister and slapped me on the rear.....  haha!

and it was good!!!

Oh, I wanted to add this really fast, Jake just stopped by after his interview and Suzi asked us to take a picture of him in his new suit because I picked out his tie for the interview.  So Courtney took a picture of him slyly asking him to take it with me.  So now I can show you all a picture of us, haha.  I'm so strange!

I got flowers! Wow!

I know that anyone that knows me, like really knows me, will be able to say that I'm not a big fan of Valentine's Day.  I decided this year that I was going to make it fun.  I put together a dance for my middle schoolers and during homeroom, my STUCO put a Valentine on everyone's locker.  It was a lot of fun!  Then I got home and found this.....
A very sweet guy sent these to me.  I was very funny opening the card because my two roommates were sitting there video recording me!  I wouldn't give a reaction while they were recording.  But..... I finally opened the card and it simply said Happy Valentine's Day   -Jake.   Now, Jake is a very tall, dark, and handsome guy in my ward.  We went on a date in August and then we've just been friends.  Now lately, we've been seeing more and more of each other and he'll take me out to do stuff.  Nothing really big though, so I was highly impressed when he stepped it up yesterday (I've had a mini crush on him since last February).  All I can keep saying is Jake's so cute!  He is great so we will see what and if anything happens. :)  I just wanted to share this with all of my lovely readers.  I got flowers and I loved it!

All done painting!

So I finally finished painting my new room!  I'm really excited for it.
Here was my pre painting options....

I'm torn between the two blues!

It only took me two hours and then I was all done!  Done painting my house for the year. :) YAY!

I like it, a little boyish but it looks good with all of my white and black bedroom furniture and pictures.
For FHE, we did brown bag skits.  I took a picture of the group Brigham was in.  He played Genie from Aladdin.  It was so funny!

Now I'm in Utah visiting my new niece and family!  Love it, I've been having a great week.  I also got a new roommate this week.  Courtney moved in.  She's cute and fun and a spunky pretty red head.  She's going to beauty school so I hope I get some good hair tips and free cuts.  Haha!

My Classroom projects!

Mr. Lenz's door that we attacked while he was teaching P.E.  I think we will add hearts come Valentine's Day.
Okay, I know most of you won't be so interested in this, but it's all my creativity and artistic talents mixed in with my students as well!  I just wanted to share. :) Enjoy.

Mrs. Stronk's door that my yearbook class heart attacked while she was in the office.  She teaches Math... duh!

This is the wall by my classroom door.  Hanging beside this poster are my kids 'book report' projects.

We did a project where my student council gave every student 6-8 a compliment and hung it on a star lining the hallway.
My classroom door decorated for Valentine's Day.

This is for Heidi, I took your word wall idea and did this! We also do color coded parts of speech, so I have all the definitions color coded to that part of speech.  My kids absolutely love it!

First time this teacher ever posted anything on her wall; I was sure impressed!

Today was BOOO

Megan on a Thursday

Many of you already know the on-going saga of Jean (the old lady I work with) and myself. Today was a hard day because at lunch she started yelling at me because I said I tease my brother-in-law about being from St. Anthony and I tell him it's ghetto.  She took it as a personal attack and yelled at me, so when I defended myself she kept yelling and not listening.  I stopped talking to her and the rest of the day I was upset.  Now, I'm not telling this story for pitty.  I'm telling this story so you can understand my next question.  I decided today that I am not staying at North Fremont out of loyalty.  I simply do not want to put myself in the situation to have to suffer Jean's rudeness (as this is only one of the many things she has done to me this year).  I am looking for options as to what I can/should do next year.  I am going to put my application in Rock Springs school district in Wyoming, where Crystal and Matt live.  They keep asking me to and telling me I can live with them! Haha.  That is my current plan. My hold back is that next year I have been promised student council.  I'm dying to work with the student council and I love the kids that will be in it next year.  I taught them as 8th graders my first year and it will be their Senior year! Crazy.  So.... what do you guys think I should do?  I am blue...

I'm a painting fool!

So today I had a cold day and snow is blowing over the roads day = NO SCHOOL!!  It was awesome!  I had talked to Suzi about painting the bedroom she is in.  Today, I got right to it! I used the same paint color that is in the living room, hallways, and my kitchen.  It's great; I already love it!  I'm going to change the purple though, so don't worry about that.  They don't really go together unless you are going for a Neapolitan ice-cream look!  Here are the pictures of my work... :)

Before I paint, with all my tools and drop sheet laid out.
All the stuff pilled into the middle of the room!
All done!!
